The company formerly operated as the sole franchisee of Ryan's Restaurant Group restaurants in Florida until 2004. The following year it sold its chain of 16 Whistle Junction and Florida Buffet locations to Banner Buffets. The company generates a small amount of revenue from a handful of rental properties, including four restaurants in Florida and two properties leased to industrial tenants in California, while it looks to invest in other real estate opportunities. Tenant NES Rentals accounts for nearly half of EACO's rental revenues. CEO Glen Ceiley owns more than 60% of the company through electronics distributor Bisco Industries.
