Duke University Hospital has about 950 acute, pediatric, and psychiatric patient beds and specializes in trauma care, diagnostics, and cardiac and endoscopic surgeries. The system also includes two community hospitals, Durham Regional Hospital (370 beds) and Duke Raleigh Hospital (185 beds), and other area health clinics. Duke University Health System's facilities provide such services as primary and specialty care, home and hospice care, clinical research, physician and nurse training, and public education programs.
