DuPont Performance Coatings doesn't make cars go faster; it just makes them look good going faster. One of DuPont's business segments, the unit is one of the world's largest providers of automotive coatings and has large contracts with almost every US automaker (and many refinishers) to provide them with automotive finishes. Products include liquid and powder coatings for motor vehicle OEMs, motor vehicle aftermarkets, and industrial applications such as coatings for pipes, appliances, electrical insulation, and heavy equipment. Brands include Standox and Spies Hecker products for high-end aftermarkets, and its Nason line for economy coatings. It also makes Hot Hues, a line of candy color custom finishes.
