Digirad gives cardiologists the nuclear option. The firm makes and sells nuclear imaging equipment, including its Cardius XPO series of gamma cameras, used to detect heart disease. It also makes a general imaging machine, the 2020tc imager, which measures such physiological activity as blood flow, metabolism, and heart function. The company sells its products to doctors' offices, as well as hospitals and imaging centers, through a direct sales force and distributors.
