Its railway division carries 1.9-plus billion passengers yearly throughout Germany and into neighboring countries over a network of about 34 million km of track. Deutsche Bahn operates bus services in Germany and holds interests in passenger rail franchises dotting Europe. Other divisions manage the company's train stations and provide track infrastructure services. Deutsche Bahn is owned by the German government.
