Company Description
Desire Petroleum is a UK-based independent exploration company with a strong desire to explore for oil and gas in the waters offshore the Falkland Islands in the South Atlantic. It holds extensive oil and gas exploration licenses in the North Falkland Basin. Since acquiring a 3D seismic survey in 2004 Desire Petroleum has identified new prospects and in 2010 resuming drilling in the North Falkland Basin. In 2010 and 2011 it drilled seven exploration wells in the north, core area of the basin and reported two oil discoveries. The company also drilled two wells in the southern area of the North Falkland Basin.
