The not-for-profit company provides dental benefits and related administrative services to approximately 54 million people through its nationwide network of independent affiliates. The association has some 40 affiliates that contract with about 95,000 large and small employer groups to provide dental benefits through HMO, PPO, and POS (Point of Service) plans. The Delta Dental Premier plan offers access to about 140,000 contracted dentists.
