Company Description
Debenhams has sat front-row to fashion for nearly two centuries. The stalwart retailer runs about 165 mid-market department stores in the UK and Ireland that sell women's, men's, and children's apparel; cosmetics; and housewares under the Debenhams and Desire by Debenhams banners. Company brands (Debut, Maine New England, Red Herring) account for about 70% of sales. Debenhams also offers a wedding registry and in-store restaurants and cafes. Beyond the UK, there are about 65 Debenhams international franchise stores in 25 countries, including Bahrain, Indonesia, and Turkey, as well as half a dozen Magasin du Nord department stores in Denmark. Debenhams Direct is the company's growing online retail business.
