Dallas County Hospital District may do business as Parkland Health and Hospital System (PHHS), but many people know it as Parkland Memorial Hospital, the hospital where JFK died. Parkland Memorial sits at the heart of the health system and is Dallas' only public hospital. PHHS manages a network of community clinics, as well as Parkland Community Health Plan, a regional HMO for Medicaid and CHIP (Children's Health Insurance Program) members.
