Company Description
Things are looking up for Daikyo - literally if not figuratively. One of the largest condominium builders in Japan, Daikyo develops high-rises for city dwellers in Japan as well as resort properties abroad. The firm rode a wave of increasing demand for urban apartments, developing more than 300,000 of its trademark Lions Mansion condominiums beginning in the late 1960s. Daikyo has also been engaged in resort property development in Australia and New Zealand. However, the global economic crisis and turmoil in the housing market has affected developers in Japan, including Daikyo.
