DDR (formerly Developers Diversified Realty) is a self-administered real estate investment trust (REIT) that acquires, develops, renovates, leases, and manages retail and office properties. Its portfolio includes more than 500 community shopping centers, malls, and other retail properties in the US, Brazil, and Puerto Rico. All together DDR owns some 130 million sq. ft of space and more than 1,800 acres of undeveloped land. Almost half of its shopping centers are owned through joint ventures.
