DB Schenker is on the right track. Part of the DB Mobility Logistics unit of German state-owned rail operator Deutsche Bahn, DB Schenker comprises DB Schenker Rail and DB Schenker Logistics. It is considered one of Europe's leading providers of ground transportation (rail and trucking), as well as air and ocean freight forwarding and contract logistics services (including supply chain management) worldwide, using the Schenker brand. Through its Rail business, the company uses the Deutsche Bahn network and its partners to transport freight by rail. Another business unit, Intermodal, arranges freight transportation by combinations of road and rail. The DB Schenker businesses operate from some 3,000 facilities.
