Criteria CaixaCorp is holding out for higher profits. The investment holding company funds public and private companies in the infrastructure, energy, and services sectors in Spain (more than 80% of revenue) as well as international banking entities. It focuses most of its banking investments in India, China, the US, and Central and Eastern Europe with a particular interest in retail banking. Criteria Caixa's $36 billion holdings include Banco BPI, Gas Natural, Telefonica, Sociedad General de Aguas de Barcelona (Agbar), and The Bank of East Asia.
