Company Description
When Cranswick fills the food bowl, hungry people show up. The company is a major UK pork processor, that sells fresh and processed pork products such as sausage, bacon, and fresh deli and packaged meats under the Cranswick, Continental, Jack Scaife, Lazenby's, and other labels. It also makes chilled pre-made sandwiches for the convenience food market, as well as offers private-label products and services. Long a household name in the European pet-goods market (under the George Bucktons name), Cranswick exited the pet business in 2009 to focus on its pork-processing activities. To that end, it acquired pork processor Bowes of Norfolk Ltd. (now CCF Norfolk) in mid-2009.
