Founded in 1855, the company makes a slew of engineered industrial products through five business segments: its largest, Fluid Handling (valves and pumps); Aerospace & Electronics (sensing and control systems); Engineered Materials (plastic composites, substrates); Merchandising Systems (vending and coin dispensing machines); and Controls (diagnostic, measurement, and control devices). Its products are used in the aerospace, military and defense, recreational vehicle, construction, transportation, automated merchandising, petrochemical, chemical, and power generation industries. About 60% of Crane's sales are made in the US.
