CoreSource is a third-party administrator (TPA) of employee benefits programs. As a TPA, it manages the health insurance benefits of self-insured employers and their workers throughout the US. Among other services, the company handles claims, provides access to nationwide and specialty provider networks, and manages a variety of ancillary programs, such pharmacy benefits, flexible spending accounts, and COBRA administration. It serves more than 900 clients, mostly midsized and large corporations, representing about 1.4 million employee members. Other clients include public retiree plans and state high-risk pools. CoreSource is a subsidiary of insurance provider Trustmark Mutual.
