CopyTele has an original take on display and communications technology. The company licenses technology used in thin, low-voltage phosphor displays. A licensing agreement with Videocon Industries allows the India-based consumer electronics company to develop televisions utilizing CopyTele's technology. CopyTele also provides secure communications products. Its stand-alone devices provide encryption for secure voice, fax, and data communication. Boeing, the exclusive distributor for many of the company's security products, uses CopyTele's encryption products on the Thuraya satellite communications network, which is employed by the US military.
