Making animated television shows…how cool is that? Coolabi produces and distributes primarily children's shows in the UK; it also licenses its catalog of films, TV shows, books, and other intellectual property. Current properties include The Large Family, Poppy Cat, Fungus the Bogeyman, and The Worst Witch. Coolabi also licenses brands unrelated to TV programming for use in merchandise -- such properties include the Purple Ronnie line of gifts and greeting cards and Scarlett & Crimson book series for girls. Coolabi began as Alibi Communications in 1999, merged with Coolebah in 2004, and took its current name in 2005. The company took itself private through a management buyout that closed at the end of 2011.
