John Q. Public is at the heart of the UK's Consumers' Association, which does business through its subsidiary Which? Limited. Operating in a similar manner to the Consumers Union in the US, the not-for-profit membership organization campaigns on behalf of Europe's consumers to combat fraud, scams, schemes, and other attempts to separate buyers from their money. The organization tests products and services, and publishes a variety of consumer education and news magazines under its Which? label, as well as books on consumer rights and how-to guides. Consumers' Association has more than 700,000 members across Europe.
