Constellation Energy Partners' domain is decidedly more terrestrial than stellar. A spin off from Constellation Energy, the company is a coalbed methane exploration and production company that operates in Alabama's Black Warrior Basin (one of the oldest and most lucrative coalbed methane basins in the US), the Cherokee Basin in Kansas and Oklahoma, and the Woodford Shale in the Arkoma Basin in Oklahoma. In 2010 Constellation Energy Partners reported proved reserves of 221 billion cu. ft. of natural gas equivalent. That year the company operated 87% of the more than 2,780 wells in which it held an interest.
