Company Description
Never run after a bus or a man; Consorcio G Grupo Dina is making sure that there will always be another one -- of the former, at least. Through its subsidiary Dina Camiones, the company produces buses, including three intercity van models and one urban coach (for trips up to 125 miles). It also assembles heavy cargo trucks. The lineup is sold under the Dina brand through multiple distributors in Mexico. After eight years of restructuring, including millions in debt to suppliers and union workers, the company revived in 2008 with a $130 million investment to open its Ciudad Sahagun, Hidalgo, plant. Grupo Dina was founded in 1951 and is part of the Guadalajara, Mexico, holdings owned by the Gómez-Flores family.
