Community Bank serves communities in Southern California. Focusing on small and middle-market businesses, the bank mainly offers commercial real estate loans (about two-thirds of its loan portfolio), as well as business loans, letters of credit, equipment loans, foreign receivables financing, and funding for employee stock option plans. To a lesser extent, it issues residential mortgages, home equity loans, and personal loans for cars, RVs, and boats. The bank's deposit products include checking and savings accounts, money market accounts, CDs, and IRAs. Brothers Charlie and Howard Cook founded Community Bank as Huntington Park Bank in 1945; it changed its name in 1950. The bank has more than a dozen branches.
