The company runs about 35 Coborn's and Cash Wise Foods stores in Minnesota and the Dakotas, another 35 shops under the Holiday, Little Dukes, and Save-A-Lot banners, and online grocery shopping service CobornDelivers. It supplies its stores with baked goods, deli items, and meat from its own central bakery and manufacturing plant. Along with its grocery stores, the firm owns and operates convenience, liquor, hardware, and video stores, and pharmacies. Founded in 1921 when Chester Coborn started a single produce market, the company opened its first Cash Wise Foods store in 1979 and its first convenience store in 1986. Coborn's is owned by its employees.
