Company Description

You could say CoBank is dependent on its rural customers, and vice-versa. A member of the Farm Credit System (which is regulated by the FCA), CoBank provides seasonal and wholesale loans to agribusinesses, as well as to rural power, water, and communications cooperatives across the US. The bank also leases vehicles, farming equipment, and agricultural facilities through various Farm Credit System affiliates. Its core agribusiness customers range from local and regional farmers' cooperatives to multi-national food companies. It has counted Land O' Lakes, Blue Diamond Almonds, and National Beef as among its larger customers. Formed in 1989, CoBank merged with US AgBank in early 2012.
