Company Description
Owing to the success of native boxers Rocky Marciano and "Marvelous" Marvin Hagler, the City of Brockton has been hailed "The City of Champions." With a population of more than 90,000, the city covers 22 square miles in southeastern Massachusetts. It is primarily urban in nature and is situated along the Salisbury River, which once fueled the city's many shoe factories. During the American Civil War, Brockton was the largest producer of shoes in the country. Incorporated in 1881, its city government today consists of the mayor (elected to a two-year term) and 11 city council members.
