Company Description

Chindex International knows how to dish out both medical advice and medical products. The company provides health care services through its United Family Healthcare (UFH) division, a growing network of private hospitals and satellite medical clinics in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. The network's two 50-bed hospitals cater primarily to the expatriate community and to affluent Chinese patients. In addition, Chindex operates a second division that distributes medical equipment and supplies -- such as diagnostic imaging and robotic surgery systems -- to hospitals in China and Hong Kong. Such Western manufacturers as Siemens, Hologic, and Candela supply these medical products.
