Company Description

Snow Beer is causing an avalanche of empty beer bottles in China. China Resources Snow Breweries (CR Snow) brews Snow brand beer, the world's top-selling beer. (With a production capacity of more than 7 million kiloliters -- about 60 million barrels -- it overtook Bud Light in 2009 as the world's #1 selling beer by volume.) The firm also brews more than 30 regional brands, such as Huadan, Singo, and Zero. It owns and operates more than 60 breweries in mainland China. CR Snow was founded in 1994 as a joint venture between SABMiller and China Resources Enterprise. The firm has grown mainly through acquisitions. In 2011 it bought Shangqiu Lanpai Brewery and the remaining shares of two breweries in central China.
