One of China's three largest airline companies (along with Air China and China Southern Airlines ), China Eastern Airlines (CEA) transports passengers and cargo to about 135 destinations in China and another 40-plus locations in more than 15 other countries. The carrier operates a fleet of more than 220 aircraft, including Airbus and Boeing models. CEA's primary hub is in Shanghai; the company also maintains bases in northwestern and southwestern China. CEA Holding, a company owned by the Chinese government, owns a controlling stake in the airline.
