Founded in 1991 as PaperClip Imaging Software, the company's original business was document management software development. After a 2006 reverse merger with American Sunrise International (the holding company of China-based Jilin Dongsheng Weiye Science & Technology Development Co.), the company changed its name to China DongSheng International and shifted its focus to natural health supplements and purifiers. Now generating the majority of its revenues from its new lines, China DongSheng plans to spin off its PaperClip operations.
