The company offers private-label (about 70% of sales) and name-brand casual wear, dresswear, and suits for big-and-tall men through about 475 stores in some 45 US states, as well as online and through catalogs. It also operates a single Rochester Clothing store in London and sells apparel online in six European countries, including Germany and France. Trade names include Casual Male XL (formerly Casual Male Big & Tall), Rochester Clothing, Destination XL, B&T Factory Direct, and Shoes XL and Living XL. Founded as Designs, Inc., in 1976, the company acquired Casual Male out of bankruptcy in 2002 and adopted the better-known name.
