Cars are a family affair at Cassens Corp. The holding company, which owns a car-hauling business, a car dealership, and an insurance agency, began with George Cassens and sons Arnold and Albert in the 1930s. Cassens Transport, the company's flagship, is a logistics service that moves passenger and commercial vehicles for OEMs Chrysler, Ford, GM, and others. Based in Edwardsville, Illinois, it operates a fleet of about 1,100 tractor-trailer rigs from more than a dozen terminals dotting the Midwest US and Canada. Cassens' dealership, Cassens & Sons, sells Chryslers in Glen Carbon, Illinois, and Cassens Insurance Agency, auto, home, and other policies, in Edwardsville. Cassens is led by its founders' descendants.
