Company Description

In the foothills of the Cascade Range, Cascade Microtech makes test systems for microelectronics. Semiconductor makers such as Fujitsu Semiconductor, IBM, Intel, Sony, and Texas Instruments use the company's probe cards, probe stations, and analytical probes to ensure the quality of their integrated circuits (ICs). Many of Cascade's customers use its tools to test their wireless, broadband, or other communications ICs at the wafer level, before the wafers are cut into individual chips. The company has a development alliances with test equipment giant Agilent Technologies. Cascade gets around two-thirds of its sales outside the US.
