Carl Zeiss manufactures optical devices such as microscopes and binoculars, as well as camera and eyeglass lenses. That business also produces optical systems for medical, astronomy, and industrial applications. Schott makes glass for cooking surfaces, mirrors, optical fibers, stemware, television screens, and pharmaceutical packaging.
