Company Description

Carilion Clinic cares for the citizens of southwestern Virginia. Founded in 1899 as the Roanoke Hospital Association, the system today includes hospitals, a network of local physicians, and a research partnership with Virginia Tech. In addition to the eight not-for-profit hospitals it owns, Carilion co-owns one with Centra Health. The system (including affiliates) has more than 1,200 beds. Along with providing treatments for just about every medical ailment one can imagine, Carilion Clinic provides continuing medical education through its affiliation with a number of medical schools including Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and the upcoming Jefferson College of Health Science.
