Caraustar Industries thinks outside the box in order to make new ones. The company is a major manufacturer of 100% recycled paperboard and converted paperboard products. It makes products from recovered fiber, which is derived from recycled paper. Caraustar has four business segments: paperboard, recovered fiber, tube and core, and folding carton. About half of its paperboard is used by its own converting facilities; the rest is sold to independent converters, as well as to the textile, paper, metal, bookbinding, printing, and furniture industries. The company's carton and packaging products are used to box a variety of consumer goods.
