Company Description
Caplay is a cash shell (no, that's not a wealthy crustacean). Formerly known as Leisureplay (and as Murray Financial before that), the firm has stakes in Private Equity Trading System, a real-time securities trading platform developed by Private Treaty Market. Caplay also owns two pubs it acquired from a bankrupt subsidiary in 2005 as well as stakes in text-to-speech software developer Textic. Terry Ramsden, who was once the 57th-richest man in the UK, is Private Treaty Market's largest shareholder, as well as Caplay's largest shareholder (with a nearly 15% stake).
