Company Description
Mall for one and one for mall! Capital Shopping Centres developed, owned, and managed shopping centers. One of the UK's largest shopping center companies, it held a portfolio of some 10 large regional malls (more than 1 million sq. ft.) at major highway junctions. It also owned office and other retail properties. Capital Shopping Centres' well-known shopping centers included the Lakeside in Thurrock (which boasted a diving school) and the MetroCentre in Gateshead, one of the largest covered shopping facilities in the UK. The firm was a subsidiary of UK real estate investment trust (REIT)
