Company Description
Canterra Minerals has made itself an expert in the diamond mining business. The exploration and development company specializes in diamond exploration in Canada's Northwest Territories and Nunavut, as well as in prospective areas of elsewhere in Canada. Canterra acquires properties and has joint venture agreements in some exploration projects. Its largest property is Lena West, and the most advanced stage project in its portfolio, the Brodeur project, hosts three known diamond-bearing bodies. The company was formed in 1999 as Diamondex Resources and changed its name a decade later after it bought Canadian uranium miner Triex.
