Company Description

Always in the thick of things, Canada Starch Operating Company, which does business as Casco, refines corn into food ingredients and industrial products including corn starch, corn oil, and corn sweeteners. Casco is a major producer of dextrose, as well as high fructose corn syrups for the brewing and food manufacturing industries. Beyond beer and baked goods, the company's starches are also used as coatings and sizings in the paper industry, as ingredients by pharmaceutical makers, and as animal nutrition products by animal feed producers. A subsidiary of the US's Corn Products International, Casco is based near Toronto and operates three refining facilities in Cardinal, London, and Port Colboune, Ontario.
