This link will open in a new window CWCapital Realty Trust is a specialty real estate finance company formed in 2008 to take advantage of mortgage investments, including commercial mortgage-backed securities, whole loans, mezzanine loans, and B-Notes. It does not yet own any investments. The company, which intends to be taxed as a real estate investment trust (REIT), filed go go public in August 2008. It plans to use the proceeds from its IPO to acquire investment-grade commercial mortgage-backed securities. After the offering, which has been delayed by market conditions, CWCapital Realty Trust's investments will be managed by parent company CWCapital .
