CPI International makes broadcast and wireless components, such as satellite communications transmitters, amplifiers, sensors, X-ray equipment, power supplies, transmitters, and microwave components. Its radio-frequency (RF) and microwave components go into a great deal of military hardware (governments account for about half of sales), including Aegis-class cruisers and destroyers, electronic warfare decoys, Patriot missile systems, and fighter aircraft. The company's products also go into civilian communications equipment, industrial gear, medical systems, and scientific instruments.
