Business is a grind for C.H. Guenther & Son; the flourmill produces the Pioneer brand of pancake, biscuit and gravy mixes, as well as the White Wings, Peter Pan, and Morrison brand name fours, tortilla mixes, and ready-to-eat tortillas, used in homes, restaurants, and commercial kitchens across the US. Guenther also makes frozen bakery products to supply McDonalds and other customers in the foodservice industry. In addition, the family-owned company operates The Guenther House, home of founder Carl Hilmar Guenther, restored as a restaurant, museum, and gift shop located in San Antonio, Texas. Guenther, started in Fredericksburg in 1951, has manufacturing facilities in Texas, Tennessee, and South Carolina.
