Company Description

The ancient Chinese secret of CDC Corporation is cutting-edge technology. The holding company has interests in four Chinese tech firms -- CDC Software, which it spun off in 2009; consultant and outsourced IT services provider CDC Global Services; online and mobile gaming company CDC Games; and Web portal China.com. The publicly traded CDC Software is its biggest investment, accounting for more than 60% of revenues. CDC Global Services, which makes up almost a quarter of revenue, consists of smaller, regionally-focused subsidiaries in Australia and the US. CDC Corporation filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 2011 after losing a lawsuit it filed against Evolution Capital Management.
