Company Description
Burford Holdings owns a variety of office, retail, warehouse, and mixed-use property throughout England (primarily London) and Scotland. In addition to its portfolio of commercial property, the company formed a joint venture with Ian Schrager Hotels to open several luxury hotels in London and Europe. Thayer Properties took the company private in 2001. In May the company sold the Trocadero centre -- the most famous leisure complex in London's West End -- to property investor Golfrate for more than $402 million (£220 million).
