Its SelectBuild Construction subsidiary provides services such as wood framing, concrete services, and plumbing. Its other business, BMC West, sells building components such as millwork, trusses, and wall panels. It also offers installation and framing services. BMHC operates about 40 distribution centers, 30 manufacturing facilities, and five service centers primarily in the western and southern US. Despite earlier attempts to restructure the business, BMHC filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in June 2009.
