Company Description

Brookline Bancorp is the holding company for Brookline Bank, Bank Rhode Island, and The First National Bank of Ipswich. The banks operate in eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island and offer standard deposit products including checking and savings accounts as well as IRAs and CDs. Mortgage loans account for more than half of the company's lending portfolio, followed by indirect auto loans, commercial loans, and consumer loans. Most of Brookline's commercial loans are offered through Eastern Funding, a majority-owned firm that specializes in financing coin-operated laundry, dry cleaning, and convenience store equipment in the New York metro area.
