The holding company owns Boston Private Bank & Trust, which operates nearly 20 branches in the Boston, Los Angeles, and Seattle metropolitan areas; its Boral Private Bank & Trust division has about five locations in northern California. Boston Private also owns about a half-dozen other money management firms. The company offers private banking, wealth advisory, investment management, and deposit and lending services to wealthy individuals, corporations, and institutional clients. All told, Boston Private and its affiliates have some $20 billion in managed or advised assets.
