Company Description
Italian may be the language of love, but English is the language of money. Borsa Italiana was swept off its feet by the London Stock Exchange, which bought the Italian exchange in 2007. Borsa Italiana, which lists hundreds of companies, manages the Italian equities market (MTA), as well as derivatives, electronic fixed income, electronic ETFs, and closed-end fund markets. Its MTA market also operates various divisions that list foreign companies. The exchange also operates an after-hours trading market and offers post-trading services such as clearing, custody and settlement, and corporate secretary management services to its listed companies through its subsidiaries. Borsa Italiana was founded in 1997.
