Boeing Commercial Airplanes makes it possible for many to fly the friendly skies. The company, one of two core segments of parent Boeing, is the largest provider of commercial jets to the airlines industry. It makes aircraft that seat from 50 to more than 500 passengers. Models include the BBJ (Boeing Business Jet), 737, 747, 767, 777, and the 787 Dreamliner. The larger 747-8 is in development. The segment also provides aviation services support, as well as used aircraft sales and leasing, maintenance, modifications, spare parts sales, and training. Boeing Commercial Airplanes accounts for about half of Boeing's sales. Sister segment Boeing Defense, Space & Security accounts for most of the other half.
