    Blue Dolphin Energy is trying to stay afloat in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The company's primary asset is its 40-mile-long Blue Dolphin Pipeline System, which includes an offshore platform for separation, metering, and compression; the onshore Buccaneer oil pipeline; onshore facilities including 85,000 barrels of surface tankage, separation and dehydration facilities; 360 acres of land; and a barge-loading terminal. On the exploration and production side, Blue Dolphin Energy owns interests in three producing blocks in the High Island area in the Gulf of Mexico and has two exploratory prospects for sale.
